What I love about BPBS:
. . . Meeting, being in fellowship with, and learning from other Christian women.
. . . Being blessed to have some of my BPBS relationships turn into lifetime friendships.
. . . Going deeper into His Word.
. . . Realizing new depths in my spiritual walk and relationship with the Lord through each of our studies . . . and
. . . Having those amazing moments when the chapter we happen to be studying during a particular week mirrors the circumstances in my own life at that very time! When that happens, I can feel the Lord talking directly to me!
I enjoy meeting sisters in Christ who want to learn about the Lord. I am inspired by Linda Tucker’s teachings. She makes the weekly Bible study come alive with her insights, videos, and personal experiences. I have experienced spiritual growth in my small group and in fellowship with Christian women from all walks of life. I look forward to attending Bible study weekly.
I have found over the years in my walk of faith that I grow most in my relationship with Christ while I am involved in relationships with others. I asked the Lord Jesus to lead my life when I was a teenager and have been a part of Bible studies and small groups ever since! I love the fact that I need to hear how the Lord speaks to fellow students of the Bible so that I can have a greater view of His immeasurable nature and kingdom. I am a wife with two sons, one in high school and one in second grade.
I arrived at Bright Pond Study in the fall of 2004 believing in Jesus. However, I was overwhelmed, fearful, and blaming God for life’s challenges. What I found was truth from God’s Word taught with humor and honesty, a discussion group where it was safe to share what God was teaching me, wise women who encouraged and prayed, and deep friendships that developed over time. I am a wife, mom, and avid volunteer!
So, what do I love about BPBS? I love that real women, like me, can come with real problems and find real truth and perspective by studying the Bible. I have found that God speaks to me through the study of His Word, through the teaching during the lecture, and by others sharing during the discussion groups. This multipronged approach allows the truth to sink into my mind and be committed to memory, and I then have the opportunity to apply it to my life. Learning and growing alongside other women is a privilege and a blessing!
I’d heard great things about BPBS and so when I retired in December 2011, one of the first things I did was to find out when and where BPBS met. Since joining, I have enjoyed immersing myself in the Lord’s Word and learning from others. It is a great joy to be a part of BPBS and all that it offers.
I am a passionate Bible student, love being in the Word, and can never learn enough. Having attended BPBS for over five years, I have had the privilege to make many new friends. Bright Pond Bible Study is truly a place to have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
The teachings from my over four years at Bright Pond Bible Study have inspired me to want to learn more. The word of God lifts your heart and warms your soul. To be with others who want to seek and learn is a “comfort zone.”
Knowing that we are all sisters in Christ and dearly love each other brings me great peace and joy. We all praise and thank our Father God for the miracles He has given us and the belief that He is in complete control.
Thanks to Bright Pond and its wonderful teachers, my love for Jesus and my hunger for the Word grow stronger, each and every day!
Bright Pond Bible Study has been a great joy and informative study for me. The members are a beautiful, loving group of Christian women with whom I am happy to be associated. I have been in Bible studies for many years and hope I can remain for many more. God’s Word is new every day!
Bright Pond has been life-changing for me. What I love about our teachings is how they relate the lessons of the Bible to our 21st-century lives as women, mothers, and wives right here in Northern Virginia. One of the early pearls of advice I heard was to “be careful what you take in, what you feed yourself,” meaning watch what you view, read, and listen to. I love and look forward to coming to BPBS every week. Beyond the teachings, I have met many faithful and inspiring women here. I have learned strength in women I had not previously known. It is inspiring to hear others ‘stories and see what God has done in their lives.
